I'm back :)

I have no excuse for my absence except for that I got swept up in Summer, home, and a sweet boy! We celebrated a 2nd birthday, wore out the water park, and spent weekends at the lake. I cherished these sweet months, and word not trade them for anything in this world. This is my first blogging summer and I didn't adjust well. I had too much fun, and not enough time on the computer. Technically that is a good thing, right?

We'll catch up later, but first let's start with the fact that I moved and I am currently decorating! Chase, God love him, has been helping me on the daily furniture rearrange and if I had a dollar for every time he has said, "I would put it over here but it's your apartment, whatever you think." I would be rich! This is subtle foreshadowing to a time in the (unknown) future when, God willing, it is our apartment/home. I am a lover of a clean, classic look, with a little bit of shabby chic. Chase prefers a more masculine look, with massive things, and lots of leather. 

Sometime, somewhere, I will have to find a happy medium between a doll house and a man-cave (I use the word cave losely as I don't think my boy thinks his decor opinion should be limited to one room, or cave, if you will) Well I saw a portion of Elle Decor Magazine's tour of Reese Witherspoon's California ranch, and it is a perfect sort of mix. It is the September issue and I am going to buy it and store it for safe-keeping!

Okay, maybe this isn't a compromise at all. Maybe I can have a pink office or little nook. Or woman pent house, I am not into caves. Compromise or not, she's cute and her ranch is cute. And it's even cute that she has a ranch. Who has a ranch?
