If I had a dollar...

for every time I began story with “So, this blog I read…" Or when asked where I saw or found something replied, “Oh on this blog I read…” I would be one rich woman! From there, you do not want to go on because to non-blog readers it gets increasingly creepier from there. “No, I don’t really know them...” They just don’t get it, those in the blogging dark. But really, define know them? I mean heck, I probably know more about my blog loves than some of their real friends but the only answer acceptable answer is, “No, I don’t know, know them.” 


I’ll be honest since this is a safe haven of addicts here… 


I started reading blogs probably before college. I have the best older sister who I would blame for my premature aging and we followed Kelly’s Korner like it was (and still sort of is) our j-o-b. We refer to our favorite bloggers by first name, we know all about their husbands, their babies, and their in-laws. They slip into our real life conversations. When I found myself having to explain why I had to check on my mom blogs before I went to my freshman new sorority member meetings, that is when I knew things had gotten serious. I just couldn’t hide my blog- creeping ways any longer.  


You see the line between reality and blogosphere reality has always been extremely gray for me, but recently it is hard for me to even decipher. I began as a creep innocent reader of said mom blogs. After being such a good-blog-following-girl for so long, I am dying for one of my own! I just want to participate in a link-up or two? Or maybe a swap?  Or even just drop a comment, but as any good-blog-following-girl knows, if you don’t have a blog in blogosphere, you don’t really exist in blogosphere reality. You follow me? But I wasn't a mom. I didn't have a cute baby to post updates about or a upcoming wedding.


But alas…here we are years (blog and reality years) later and blogs have come a long way! They are not just for moms anymore! It's not even a wives only club. Yep, it is true. A sweet little friend I really know (on the reality side of my faint line) blazed the trail and I just can't resist any longer!

Let’s be honest, if you are going to do anything, you just have to do it! If you are going to really follow blogs you have just got to have one of your own! You just have to jump off the freaking ledge. So being I have no husband, no wedding to plan yet, and no babies (besides my sweet nephew, of course!) all I have to offer are sweet little nothings from the South.
